About Jeff

Jeff was born in Covina, CA. After spending a short time in Chicago, IL, he was raised in Bakersfield, CA from the time he was 3 years old. He grew up playing sports, mostly basketball and track, with a little mountain biking. After graduating from West High in Bakersfield he went to Bakersfield College for two years and played basketball there. Then it was off to the University of Redlands. Jeff played one year of basketball there and then redeveloped his passion for track. He continued running track all 3 years at Redlands and then began coaching track right after graduation. While earning a BS in Accounting at Redlands, Jeff decided he'd rather coach for the time being rather than go into Accounting so he started to substitute teach since the coaching paid very little. After a few months he realized he wanted to be a teacher. Since that time he has been teaching 5th grade at Cram Elementary in Highland and coaching track at the University of Redlands. He has also recently greatly renewed his interest in mountain biking.

About Lisa

Lisa is Canadian and she rides bikes, enough said. Actually she grew up in the small, rural town Carstairs where kindergarden to grade 12 were in the same large building basically. After high school she went directly to college in Lethbridge, Alberta. She studied renewable resources and fish and wildlife technology at College, then wrapped it up with a BSc in Environmental Science. With no wildlife biologist positions available, she went back to school. One year of studies at COGS in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia got Lisa a diploma in GIS and lots of time with her mom's side of the family who are from Nova Scotia. ESRI, a GIS software company in Redlands, California offered her a great position and five years later she is still doing the same job and enjoying it. If you are wondering what GIS is, well I would recommend googling it.
